Stuck in Denver

With 70 mph winds and what the weather guru calls ground blizzards I was stuck after dropping my parents off at the airport. Got up nice and early to try and beat the traffic, when I got just west of Denver I-70 was closed. Oh well, another day off and a good time to do some sight seeing in Denver.

Exited at Genessee at a nice little cafe I knew about and found a lot of people in my same situation. One happened to be a very attractive young lady named Penelope who needed a seat, there was one next to me. We ate and chatted for an hour or so when I overheard that Highway 6 was open, I headed for it but first I made a detour at Lookout Mountain.

A look at Golden and the Coors factory, mmm...Banquet Beer. I think I'll be back for that tour eventually.

Turning to my left, a beautiful view of the Front Range. All I could think about while driving this road, was riding it. Might be back for that too.

The drive back, which should have been right around an hour, took me nearly 2.5 hours. Slow going and lots of stupid drivers, some later ended up in the ditch. Now that is karma.

That's it for me, time to eat some sushi.

Toured the brewery about 20 years ago, the free beer after the tour was so good that we went on a 2nd tour to get more beer. Mmmmmmm beer.
