Further West

I left Moab yesterday in hopes of camping in and spending today in Yosemite. All the passes from the east into the park were closed. Turned myself back around and head back up the mountain 5 miles into the pines. After 14 hours of travel I was ready to to count some sheep. Saw two good looking trees and strung up the hammock, went back to the car and grabbed the bag. I think I got to about 9 sheep before I was out.

Things of not on the drive:
Grand Staircase-Escalante is worth the stop.
Interstates are for suckers.
Yosemite is now on my shit list.
California is beautiful.
When driving stop at call places and stop often. What is the hurry?
And no flying planes in Nevada scared the crap out of me.

Now pictures of note:
Tried to ride up to Burrow Pass but when I got to the trail the snow was in the way.

So I turned around and got to descend.

A wall of hoodoos along the highway in Nevada.

This road was fun.

This road would have been more fun but it was closed.

Pure wow.

Done with the coffee break for now and time to drive down to Santa Cruz for some singletrack bliss.
