The Season Ends

Keystone officially closed this past Sunday and my last day of work was Monday. Ah, free at last. While powder blessed us here for the firs part of April, it has made way to clear skies and near 60 degree temperatures. While Keystone is closed Breckenridge remains open until this coming Sunday and A-Basin stays open until, cross your fingers for them, July 4th. They have always tried for that day but seem to rarely make it past mid-June.

Went over to Breck today with a couple others for some slush skiing, pure awesome. Slush is about the next best thing to powder. Tomorrow is the Tubing Hill party over at A-Basin; complete with crab legs, steak, and much beer. Maybe a little skiing too, but not too much.

Sorry for the lack of pictures lately; exactly who I am apologizing too I have no idea, perhaps the blogger gods. I promise many pictures to come on my next trip. This will be a three week journey through Moab, San Francisco, Joshua Tree, middle Arizona, Fruita, and maybe some of Nebraska. As it stands I don't need to be back in Iowa until mid-May for interviews, so I have planned to be back in time for the 6 Hour race in Boone.

Wait a minute, during the typing of that last paragraph I was able to snap a few photos of this little guy from my window. Seems like he is enjoying the spring day as well.

That's all for now, hope the weather is pleasant and the morels are popping where ever this post finds you.

On your way back when in Fruita I'd suggest getting ahold of my buddy Tom tom.hinman@bresnan.net a fellow single speeder and great guild for the Fruita trails:)

Peace
