RAGBRAI 2008

Another week of riding across the state is in the books (that makes 9), well for me it was driving across the state with only one day of riding in there. The Rasmussen adventure always begins at 3 pm on Friday, we drive to the first town and set up camp. I wont bore with intermittent details but rather a rough outline.

Matt and I worked on a few thousand bikes, in 14 different towns, slept in 7 different towns, and can vaguely recall 10% of what happened. For a wrench on RAGBRAI it is more of an 8 day blur of Iowa's small towns and interesting characters. We saw most of the people we see every year except for our friends on the cow bike tandem that seems to need new tires on the last day every year.

The one thing of note is Matt and I again made it into the media. Matt is quoted here. And I am shown here.

And now a few pictures the rest to be found on Flickr.

Home for a week.

Fixing the RAGBRAI machines.

A thick coating.

Noonan was sighted riding across Iowa in the attempt to train for riding down under.
