So we drove up until we couldn't go any further. This was my first real off-road experience with the new truck, way fun. Totally snow covered roads and finally we came to a pitch that we just couldn't make it up, we are talking steep and snowy.Got out and did the rest of it on foot. We reached the cabin, still needs some repair but looks like someone brought things up to block the drafty windows up for the winter.
Tanner fell in the stream just before this, poor guy was wet and didn't smell to nice afterwards.
Views like this puts a lot into perspective, mostly the insignificance of some things.Well Tuesday brought ALOT of work on the hill. Had an employee appreciation dinner at 5:30 and the Mountain (well 1 run) was only open to employees. One of the first to eat which meant I was all alone on the ski done. Don't know if I can put into words the feeling on dropping a knee into perfect turns on freshly groomed snow in the dark with out a sound around. I guess one could compare this to centering ones Chi, that's the way it felt walking through the village at least.
Tubing Hill opens tomorrow, oh dear...

i remember the feeling of insignifigance the first time i went climbing in the "big" mountains in germany. it's a humbling experience. the whole slope all to yourself at night is also awesome stuff! good on 'ya!
Your truck looks good in the snow. Glad to hear you are hiking with a buddy. Enjoy your first "work" day. We sure do love you.
