The Q Loop

At least that is what I will call it. Left home (Silverthorne), through Dillon, over to Summit Cove, up Swan Mountain, over to Breck, double back to Frisco, then back over through Dillon, and back home. About 40 miles in all, averaged 11 mph up Swan Mountain and 41 mph down. Awesomeness!

I lost a good bike tool this morning, chalk it up to wear and tear. My Specialized floor pump finally bit the dust, spent about $2 in miscellaneous parts to revive it but to no avail. I headed over and bought a new one, I'm sick of using my frame pump to air up tires. The sweetest part? The new one is camo-ish!

While riding I did some math in my head. A new Pro pump is $70 + tax, I had mine for 6 years, averaging 9 months of riding, yielding approximately 270 days of riding (give or take). I pump my tires up before every ride meaning I spent 4.5 cents per ride for my pump. That is one hell of an investment. This also attests to this pumps awesome-a-tude.

I'm hungry and it is relativily nice out, fish tacos at the Tiki Bar.

I have had mine for a long time. I have replaced the head with one from a Pro model and have worn out several sets of O-rings over the years. I have a drawer full of them on hand if it ever needs a new one I just pop one in and throw a little Phil's tenacious oil one it and boom...brand new pump. I will end up drinking heavily in sorrow if mine ever does die.
