Back to Colorado

I have arrived in Durango after riding in 3 different states, racking up over 3000 miles in the car (as can be seen to the right), visited 5 National Parks, seen old friends, made new ones, and made some decisions about the places I have visited.

1. Moab is the best "tourism town" I have ever been to.
2. Desert sunsets rival mountain sunsets for beauty.
3. Santa Cruz has the most amazing single-track I have ever ridden.
4. Everything is San Francisco is steep (i.e. hills, staircases, and prices)
5. San Francisco also has some of the most delicious food of any city I've visited.
6. Arizona just plain sucks, at least the parts I was in (wish I could have spent time in Flagstaff though).
7. Redwoods are AMAZING, heck lots of them are over 1000 years old and still growing.

With those learnings I will leave you with a few pictures. From Durango it is on to Keystone and then though Lincoln and Omaha for a little more riding, perhaps back in time for the next running of the TNWCs.

Big trees = big pine cones.

LIz hanging out in the Muir Woods, she slid down most of that tree.

These are some hug trees, thing 8 feet in diameter and 300 feet tall.

Mist Falls in Sequoia Kings National Park.

A colorful little lizard.

Enjoy Durango! I have yet to find a place that has better riding, on or off road. See ya when you get back to DSM.
