The City of Des Moines once again told me that I did not make the cutoff score to proceed onto the interview with the Fire Department. Therefore I will not be fighting fires in this fair city, though I might be fighting them about 100 miles east. Iowa City is looking to hire some more off their list (which I was put on in 2006).
In the event that Iowa City doesn't take me it is back to this
For now it will be more riding and helping out at working at bike shops. Copper Creek is this weekend and I will be pumping up tires for all the try-athletes. After that, riding to Iowa City to help out over there for a couple weeks.
