Day 1 and Coffee Insights

First day of skiing in the books, though it was only 3 runs. After I picked up my pass and at a late lunch I looked at the clock: 2:30. Hmmm...enough time to scoot over to the new gondola for a few runs. Scraped the teles off and suited up; I was on the Gondola before 3.

Something I realized, again, is that even though I ride and do enough squats and lunges my legs will still burn after the first day. So I got over that and pondering about going back up for a couple more today. The snow is crap right now since it is man made but stays decent for a couple hours in the morning.

I didn't get any pictures in the past few days but I'll leave you with a snippet of an interview from the Mountain Gazette with Tim, a guide from Western Spirit in Moab:

Mountain Gazette: What happens to you if you are on a trip and you don’t drink coffee?
Tim: We probably shouldn’t talk about it, especially if there is no bacon, either.
MG: What do you think of people who don’t drink coffee?
Tim: Don’t really trust the mutha-fuckers.
