Broken

I've been telemarking more than alpine skiing this year, I even picked up a second pair of teles. Got a great deal on them (used for one year by a patroller) and they were exactly what I wanted. Until this happened on Sunday...

This was a very integral part of the binding, it is the cable that connects the toe piece to the heel piece. I was going to escort our Sno-Cat down, as soon as I clipped in...KABOOM. Just thankful that didn't happen while skiing earlier that day.

No worries since I went into town yesterday and the guys at Wilderness Sports happened to have a couple on hand. And then I saw these guys...

The company had been out of them for a couple months but I saw them just hanging out all by themselves, my size too. Had to have them before they disappear again. If you are looking good for a good winter glove, get some.

Congratulations to those who ventured to KC for Cross Nationals. I just wish more Iowa people would go, I mean come on. It is only 3 hours from Des Moines and 4.5 hours from Iowa City.
