Forts and the Big Three

Forts, yep found a lot of those yesterday. Five or six on the mountain side just behind the apartment. I was too far east to stumble across the amazing one I found last year, but I'll go see it again sometime soon.

The first of the bunch.

Climbing higher I found some decent routes that I plan to ski once we get some more of the white stuff.

Empties into the gulch west of town, though cutting trees for power lines is bad it does yield some decent skiing.

And now for the bit about the Big Three: $73 an hour. Accurate but one must look into what it is made up of; wages account for $40, benefits account for $15, and retiree benefits and compensation accounts for the remainder. Okay doesn't seem so bad until you look at the foreign companies who are non-union (Toyota, Honda, etc.) and see that the same figure is $45 per hour. Interesting considering the biggest downfall the Three are having is that no one wants to buy there cars and subsequently are losing money.

With that issue at hand you would hope they would address customer wants and needs. If they did that, they wouldn't be in the position they are today. Instead they give us:

The 2010 Chevy Camaro.

I ask again: Why does the government feel the need to bail out companies that cannot properly respond to the market?
