Quick Visit

Made the jaunt over to Iowa City on Monday and came back this morning. Saw some friends, a little family, and did a lot of riding. After getting in around noon on Monday I made the mandatory stop at Geoff's and then off to Sugar. The ride out was nice as there hasn't been any new construction on Newport or Sugarbottom Roads. Did a couple laps and then another half to round up some morrels I saw on my first lap. Only found two but they were both almost 4" tall. Stuffed them both in an empty water bottle and finished up the south end. About 4 hours on the single that day and some pasta carbonara for dinner.

Woke up Tuesday and Kevin proposed a trip to Davenport to pick up his new frame. Heck, why not I get to see a bike factory and possibly ride some trails. Well we never rode when we were there but I did get to see where Rick Moliterno of Rad fame pumps out Standard frames. Quick drive back to Iowa City and met up with a group to ride Sugar.

Got back to Des Moines just in time for the rain to start...went on the PRC ride, helped Lou with a flat, and more rain started. At that point I thought it best to start the ride back home, got a little wet in the process.
